I am new to riding. I've ridden a few scaled down motorcycles over seas, but I just bought a 1986 Kawasaki Vulcan (750) off of Craigslist to learn on. Is this a good starter bike or did I bite off more then I can chew? Does anyone else have one of these bikes? Thoughts/experiences/suggestion on them?
Thanks!
J

You should be fine.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Re: Kawasaki Vulcan - good first bike?
Great Bike! Many die hard Kawasaki Vulcan owners have said the older 750-800 Vulcan's are better bikes than the new Vulcan 900, that Kawasaki ruined or cheapened the Vulcan when it was redisigned as the 900 Vulcan, they even say the new 900 has less engine power and perfomance than the 750-800. Kawasaki was always the leader when it comes to squeezing the most engine power out of their bikes, but the new 900 is slower than the 750-800
