1st Ride of the season

Lovely day yesterday, warm and sunny. Insured Connie and went of a nice ride. Got a new cooling fan for the computer in Richmond, sat and had a coffee and a ciggie at Aberdine Centre watching the girls walk by, lovely. Put on about 100 K's without a hick up. Got home and installed the fan, why do people who design motherboards have a habit of hiding the smallest of connection under a mass of wires and other hardware. Make it hard for fat fingered buggers like me to do my own work.

Oh right, got a chance to flip of some Harpo supporters on the way home...all in all, a good day.

It's quite summer. High of 83 (F) here today. Mrs. and I rode motorcycles down to a town about 30 miles from here where step-daughter wants to buy a house (closer to her job). Then took the long way back through the Pine Barrens - about 90 miles in all. Weather forecasters said thunderstorms, but not a dark cloud in the sky.... what do forecasters know anyway? :dunno:

Glad to hear you got the Connie on the road, ceemes.

You betcha. Starting tomorrow, I will be commuting to work on her. No longer will I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to catch the 5:30 bus to be at the office by 7AM...now I can sleep in till 5AM and leave at 6AM....sadly, it takes almost the same amount of time to go by bus as it is to ride....and coming home it could actually take longer....damn tunnel, Vancouver and Burnaby traffic.

There is nothing quite like the first ride of the season! Were there many bikes out in Vancouver when you were riding?

Here in London, UK, it's been +26°C for a couple of weeks now, beautiful riding weather... I've been spoiled as I hear the Canadian spring has been a slow one a'comin.

It's been a strange spring even in Vancouver this year. Daffodils are still blooming, they usually start to appear around the end or mid February and are done by mid March, not this year. They didn't start blooming till around mid March. And a couple of weeks back it actually snowed in Vancouver in April...go figure, it doesn't usually snow here past February and never in April.

But there are a lot of bikes on the road already, for the past couple of weeks I watched them while riding the bus home with great envy. Now I will be joining them, just hope the rains can hold off.

Traffic sucks when you're in a country that can't filter/lane split!!!!!!

Given the way the average Lower Mainlander/Vancouverite drives, you really don't want to be doing any filtering or lane splitting here.
