i have recenly bought a HD sportster XL1200 custom,had 18'' winshiel installed, at a high speed wind was trying to pull my helment off, traded a yamaha tmax 500 scooter for it had no problem. at dealer i was wanting something to cut the wind off me, well here's the TIP, there is a big hole bottom center of winshield above head light they said stuff a jacket in there.
well i got a rain suit that is too small, took pants roll them up stuff them down under pouch just above light,afraid to touch light cause it get hot. i was amazed the differents it made. i to was thinking my helment was to big.
now that was for my head, next is the legs.

The other thing is to get a full-face that's designed for cruisers. Sportbike and cruiser helmets have a lot of differences when it comes to their aerodynamics.

i have a full face flip up with rectractable sun visor and put a tint strip across flip up shield so i could ride into the sun.

Cutting down wind?................lay off the beans!
