Yup. Had a bad fall at work, ended up in ER but no broken bones in my back. Much pain and lots of nasty drugs later, yesterday I stopped the drugs and today I went for a ride. Just an hour, but DAMN it was fine feeling the wind in my face. Still lots of pain, but I will keep working on the muscle damage. Today was the one week anniversary after my fall.
If weather is good tomorrow, I might put in a few hours of saddle time.
be safe out there, and at work too!
regards,

It's Sunday evening. I'm returning to work after about two weeks of recovery. In the mean time, I made trips south, east, and finally north. After the last ride yesterday, just before putting the bike back in the garage, I noticed a mark on the rear tire--a bug? As I got closer, I realized it was the cords showing! wow. I just put new tires on it last year, but I think I put about 15,000 miles on them already. shrug.
Looking forward to getting back to work though!
Ride safe ya'all.
regards,

I can appreciate the feeling. After a skiing accident in December I didn't ride for over 3 months and getting back on the bike, even as rusty as I felt, was pure gold...

Wow, congrats on being able to be riding again after only a week! You're a lucky guy. In 2008 I was out for 4 months after an accident that buggered my right arm, shoulder and back.

Don't know if it's luck or my complete hate of idle existence. I bought a bunch of old movies on VHS (for one buck US) and ran out of magazines to read. I go crazy being stuck anywhere for long.
Today was first day at work and a long one too (9 hours). I'm in rotten pain, but I have a heating pad on my back and a wonderful kitten puring on my lap . . . Told boss I'll take tomorrow off before starting the big summer project bid we won.
I'm concerned. I really hoped today I'd feel "okay", but . . . I'm bull-headed though!
Glad you are back in the saddle though.
Tomorrow I hope to hear from the shop about new tires!
