Need some help

#1 Unread post by BP1982 »

Hi all. My name is Brent. I'm 29 and just purchased my 2nd bike - a 2009 ZX-10. Haven't ridden in almost 7 years, so trying to get back in the swing of things. Have a few questions: any ideas as to where in the Cleveland area to ride? Also, bike is basically stock, but looking for a full exhaust system upgrade sometime in the next few months... suggestions?

Hi Brent, welcome to TMW! Wow, a ZX-10 as your first bike in 7 years... take care and ride easy until you get used to it again. :D

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm guessing your in Ohio so you don't want to go north. good luck.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Thanks you guys, I always ride safe. Back to the exhaust though. I've heard good things about Muzzy, Hindle, Brock's, and Akro. I think that Hindle makes the Brock's exhaust and Muzzy seems to have been a KAW companion for years. Well, lots to absorb -- I'm just trying to weed though all of the info. ANY suggestions would be appriciated. Thanks

Don't know the geography where you are but we have had some reports that when the cats are taken out of your model, they run very lean on the top end and valves are getting burnt.

if you change the pipe you probably will need to change air filter and mapping or maybe even get a chip.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
