Picked up an 06 Ducati MultiStrada 620D on Sat for $4500 and went for the loop from Asheville to the BRP (Blue Ridge Pkwy) to the Daimond Back, here's a link

what an A M A Z I N G route! I'm out here from Cali for work and just needed to take advantage of these beautiful roads and scenery so I found the Duc and now I can enjoy the roads on this side of our wonderful country.
Devil's Staircase is by far one of the BEST FUN roads I've riden and would rate it better than The Dragon because it's more technical and not too crowded (yet). The over all loop is great especially doing it one direction then reversing it and doing it again. Stop at the Alpine Inn and have a cup of coffee to enjoy the view, I'll make it a point to stay there sometime like I did at The Inn at Deal's Gap and do this loop for a couple of laps.
Show respect when riding this route so the locals won't hate us and start sabotaging the roads. I always wonder why knuckleheads would speed through a straight away residential section when the fun is in the twistees...oh well... to each is own.
Enjoy it and know your limits! This one WILL HURT if you don't!
