tyres

Hello All, my first post,I ride a Honda VT 750 2009 shaft drive, has anyone gorne to a larger tyre on rear, standard is 160/80/15 thinking of going to a 170/80/15, trying to lower my revs when cruising .

You put "Years Riding: 50" wow, that's a long time, you must have a huge list of bikes have you owned in all those years!

Thanks Totalmotorcycle, my 1st bike was a AJS in 1961,a suzuki, couple of yamahas, & my honda at present, I was without a motorcycle for about 15 years, although I did ride my brothers BMW a few times in that period, retired & got back in bikes in 2010,clocked up 25th kys on the Honda in 18 months & enjoying it. Some of the guys I ride with & my age have had about 30 bikes,I do tend to keep cars & bikes a long time.

The 170/80-15 size is listed as a Metzeler stage 1 upgrade for the 07-09 VT750 Spirit C-2 meaning it is an approved fitment requiring no alterations to the bike. You can find that info here:
