I went to start my bike this morning and on the first bump of the ignition I heard a *CLINK*. The starter still turned but the engine was no longer turning over. I removed the starter and bench tested it, turns over fast and with minimal noise. really hoping that the fix is minor, want to get back on the road. Please help!!!

Take a look at the opposing gear that the starter hooks into. It sounds like you may have taken out a tooth on it.

If the starter spinns and the motor does not crank its the starter clutch.
