Welcome. I was in the Philippines a few years back and I would not honestly call your road and traffic "idiosyncratic", terms like chaotic, suicidal, homocidal and insane yes (Manila doubly so), but not "idiosyncratic". Was thinking about renting a bike to tour around Leyte with she who must be obeyed, however the last vestage of sanity that I have left kicked in and shouted a big NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at me. Lovely country tho, but the traffic and utter disregard for traffic rules scares the willies out of me.

I'm just in Manila as well, actually. Work in Makati, live in Parañaque.
Your bike looks awesome in your avatar, why not post a few close-ups? Looks like you've farkled it quite a bit.
