Last weekend I bought my first motorcycle. A friend of mine bought a new bike and offered me the deal of a lifetime on his old bike. I bought a 82 Suzuki GS 750 making payments of only $25 a month. Being the broke college student, I couldn't pass it up. The previous owner before my friend didn't really take care of the bike and my friend just kept it running, not necessarily making it pretty. I grew up working on cars so having a project like this pleases me very much. I have a lot of customization I want to do to it. I've been riding about a week now and am hooked. About me, I'm a college student, Studying network security, I love cars, off roading, animals, camping, and video games. I'm married with a dog and a cat and I'm hoping to maybe meet some other Washington riders to possibly go riding with some time.

paying total of $1000 for it, not bad considering it only has 26k original miles. previous owner before my friend was the original owner and hardly rode it over the 25 years he had it.

Congrats! If I were you, I'd spend most of my time getting used to the bike and learning to ride before I start spending money on customization, especially with a wife and a couple of pets who might have something to say about that haha. Just something to think about.

That is a very nice looking motorcycle at a great price! The engine is very solid, watch out for the electrics and keep any electrical contacts on the bike rust free and dry. Here is a tip for ya: you might want to pull out the turn signal bulbs and make sure all 4 are rust free as this will cause issues on the Suzuki GS'.

I already checked them, had to run new wires for the rear ones because they had a break in the wire, causing them to only work half the time. As I said, I grew up working on cars so I'm not afraid of a little work.

Hey, this is Roger. I have ridden 3700+ miles on my 2010 Honda Phantom 750. For some reason I decided at 58 years old to take the MSF course and then go out and buy the bike that fit me the best. My only riding experience was getting thrown off the passenger of a Norton bike back in the middle sixties. Been sober for 8 years now and think that had pretty much everything to do with it. I have driven my car about 5 times since I bought my bike in late April. My new addiction!

When you get a chance when the weather is dry and warmer...the Chuckanut is a great ride as is the Cascade Loop ride.
