New rider

Hey yall i'm Chris and im going to be a new rider soon. Im taking the course tomorrow. I dont own a bike yet but I plan on getting something like a suzuki s40. What do yall think about the bobbed out ones?

Welcome to the forum...the bobbed S40 (Savage) can look good if done right...and that is a decent bike to start on...the big single doesn't put out too much power, but has decent torque with smooth delivery of power...smooth is the key, you don't want something that will come on suddenly in the middle of a corner...

The s40 is a good first bike and probably won't be a quick turn-over bike. The only issue I know of it is that it runs very lean and has a tendency to backfire, but you can get the carbs re-jetted to correct that, or just live with it. Some riders think it adds a little character
