Motorcycle Action Group UK are planning a flash demo on Sept 25th to protest at creeping EU regulations on bikers.
A particular gripe is the compulsory wearing of high vis vests/bibs. This has been introduced in France & proposed in Ireland.
Many in UK feel that there is a growing anti bike (pro bicycle) lobby in the halls of power which strangely contradicts "green" policies.
As far as I can gather so far the demo will consist of bikers massing a pre arranged rendevous across the country & then riding slowly for a specific distance on major (runk roads & motorways.
I would be quite nervous about joining in but am seriously considering it.
Anyone else here in Blighty or elsewhere in Europe getting involved?

You realize this has the potential to turn out badly.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I presume you have the recent riots in mind?
I suppose there is a risk someone could hijack the event & it escalate, but I think fellow riders would be more concerned about looking after their bikes than looting motrway service stations ;lol:
Seriously tho you do have a point. However, MAG are a resposible group
