Anyone going to Brighton Speed Trials on Sat 11th September?
Has anyone been before & if so what's the score re parking as I imagine it will be very busy.
We are thinking of going for the day but might stay overnight as it's the big Ace Cafe rideout to Brighton on the Sunday.

Wow, sounds fun! I didn't book because I thought Andrea and I were going to drive Europe this weekend (which turns out it will be next weekend due to stuff).
Please post a review and some photos of it, I'd love to see it.

Pre event history:
Billed as the oldest motoring competition in the UK it is currently run as a 1/4 drag along Madeira Drive. It is organised by the Brighton & Hove Motor Club (originally Motorcycle & lightcar club) & run under the regulations of the RAC Motor Sport Association.
The original event took place in 1905 after a locla hotelier & motoring enthusiast persuaded the local council to lay some of the newly invented tarmac.
The first event saw the awesome speed of 97mph achieved over a 1/2 mile didtance!
Various complaints & new laws saw events moved to Lewes & Brooklands until 1932 & it has been on the seafront ever since (except '39-'45).
The modern event held over 1/4mile sees numerous categories including age, marque & even a prize for the fastest lady!
Hopefully if the rain holds off I can get a few pics tomorrow

Bring it on!
