Newbie here. I'm taking the MSF course next week and Thursday can't get here fast enough. Been wanting to get into biking for several years now. I finally decided that life's too short, time was being wasted, and I neeed to put up or shut up. My wife's not exactly thrilled, but she knows that once I decide to do something any resistance on her part is futile.
I've learned a lot reading these posts over the past month, so I thank you all for the great information.
Adios for now.

Welcome aboard! Hope things remain smooth with your wife. I was so nervous about my husband having a fit, that I encouraged him to take the MSF course as well. Now he's just as addicted to his bike as I am to mine. Enjoy the forums!
