I have been waiting for Roehr Motorcycles to release their 2012 models into our guide ( http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcyc ... -roehr.htm ) and have been checking each week. Strangely, their site is now gone and displays just a photo (see attached) and the words:

Either the Roehr Motorcycle site has been hacked (which seems unlikely considering there are no links or ads) or Roehr Motorcycles is gone...If Roehr Motorcycles is bankrupt that would be a real shame as they really looked like a promising new motorcycle company with their new bikes and new electric bike innovations.

There is no news nor are is there any information on this on the internet (yet) that I could find.

P.S. I just emailed Walter F. Roehrich (owner of Roehr Motorcycles) as I have been in contact him before in the past so I will let you all know if Mr. Roehrich does reply.

Here we go, from Walter Roehr himself:
Hello Folks,

Just want everyone to know that Roehr Motorcycles LLC has officially closed its doors. The most significant factor was the week economy. There was plenty of excitement and interest in the EV field, but unfortunately not enough that actually translated into sales.

I'm still optimistic about the future of the electric motorcycle, however, unless the economic conditions improve for working class people (the majority of motorcycle owners), and significant improvements in battery cost and power density, it's going to be a while before an EV manufacturer can become sustainable.

Thanks for everyone's support, I hope to be back one day
Goodbye Roehr Motorcycles, hope to see you back soon (like Indian and Triumph has done in the past).

Mike
