A 300cc sporty should do well.

Is this bike a replacement for the venerable Ninja 250, or the next step up the Ninja class Didn't they also have a Ninja 400 or 500 recently? Still, a cool bike, unlike that two-bit tart we had last week.

I voted: AWESOME...

I think this bike will replace both the 250 & the 400 in the Ninja line...172kg(378lbs) is nice & light, it has a nice sized fuel tank (17L), fuel injection and similare Hp to the 400...this is the new standard!!

My opinion of course...

Later.

Honda got a little too close last year with the CB250R. Kawi had to to turn up the CCs and unleash the FI. I wonder if they have been sitting on that for awhile, waiting for some competition.

I went with: COOL.

Yes, I know, I really should have given the new 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS an Awesome vote and I really want to. But I just don't see the point of bumping it up 50cc AND adding fuel injection when the 250cc they had was a perfect bike for new riders and had lots of power as well... More power + New rider? Not a good combination IMO. ABS + Fuel Injection + Traction Control and keep the 250cc engine = A great combination.

Yes, more advanced riders will enjoy the extra power the 50cc FI brings, but what about all the new riders who want a more learnable, less powerful bike? Don't forget the MSRP will be higher as well and higher insurance costs too...

Ah well, at least it's fuel injected and STILL a much better way to start riding than anything over 300cc.

I like the idea of a 300cc sportbike (regardless of whether it supplements or replaces the previous 250cc model). I voted Cool.

In the US it's replacing the 250. But I vote cool. I wish they would have gone without the slipper clutch and dropped the price a bit, but otherwise I like it!
