Is there a book for bikers that summarizes the various bike routes, hotels etc with contact info that is not made by the tourism boards?
Most of what I see is a huge advertising pile of overlapping services and products with no coordination between them.
I don't want to go down there and with my six days, miss one of the great day rides.
Thank you for any information or leads you can give me.

My brother went this summer, just spent the time riding around. No itinerary or anything. Said every road was great.

Been a few years since I was down there but, 11 miles 318 turns of great road. I just grabbed one of the tourist maps when I got there. Good food, fair hotel prices. I stayed in Pigeon Forge on the main drag there. Try the aligator at Huck finns. It was great!

Alligator is tasty! And that whole area is a motorcycle paradise.

I have a lot of family in the Highlands area of North Carolina which is about 75 miles from Deals Gap down 28. I can't wait to go visit on a motorcycle. The entire region is just spectacular and every time we go for a holiday we all get a burning desire to pack up and move but the finances just never work out. We where there about a year ago and caught the peak of the fall foliage and there was a lot of properties up for sale around Franklin at bargain prices, but we still could not make it work.
I hope you have a blast on your ride.
