added rider's safety

I added a reflective cloth strip to my back pack and jacket. The idea is a driver coming up from behind will see the strips waving like a flag or a banner. A moving strip of light...light snake.
What ya think????

Reflective tape is very effective. My friend put some on the back of his top case, and it is really visible at dusk. We went on a trip through Austria and Germany in August, and I noticed the tape was much more visible than his hi-viz jacket when I was riding behind him through tunnels in the Alps (there were some very long tunnels; the longest was 16 km (10 miles).

When we got home I put some on the back of my top case:

The more reflective stuff, the better.

In NJ we're required to have 4 square inches of reflective tape on each side of our helmets. I also have black reflective tape plastered all over my bike's top case. It's very inconspicuous in daytime, but lights right up when a headlight hits it at night.

Couldn't that hide a defect in the helmet?

I've got Lightweights reflective spots all over my backpack. They're really flexible, eye-poppingly bright, and adhere incredibly well to fabric. They've even been through the wash a few times. Comes in lots of colors and tape, too.

That helmet was retired after I dropped it, failed to catch it, and it bounced of the only "procreating" rock within 10 feet. :(

I also lost most of the pamphlets you sent me, but a few found their way under wiper blades.

I admit it looks tremendously dorky, but I'm still a great believer in reflective tape and HiViz.
