Two nights ago a buddy I work with was driving behind this guy, when a dear jumped out and took him out... @ 50MPH

He skipped down the road about a 100 feet, and got up, a little dazed and in shock I'm sure...

His right arm was broken pretty severly, no doubt he had a concussion too, but he's one lucky, guy, that's for sure...




He was lucky he didn't get run over. My co-worker blocked traffic for a while while they waited for the police and ambulance, and took these photos

Very lucky man, good to see he's ok.

The wildlife in Ohio is getting really thick now. And in a month or so, they start getting desperate. The corn will be cut, so they start migrating around for more food. Lots of critters to watch out for. Keep scanning the sides of the roads folks!!

very very messed up indeed, glad hes ok but i wonder why people would pose in a picture next to the poor dead thing nevertheless hold his head up for a pic? THAT i dont get at all, sorry dude.

That there, is you're "look what I just killed pose"

If I just survived something like that, I probably would have twisted it's head off.

That dude:
a) Is lucky, or was lucky, he probalby should have stopped and bought a lottery ticket on the way to the hospital.
b) He's a man's man I guess, bad "O Ring" and all that...

You said his right arm was broken pretty severely, yet he was holding the offending animal's ear with his right arm in the last pic - Just in case you ever encounter this situation again, a guy actually using a severely broken arm immediately after a serious accident is in shock, and being in shock can be deadly! Next time, get the deer's ear away from him and make him lie down and be quiet until paramedics arrive!

That's one nice thing about shock and adrenaline, no pain.

When I wrecked my F4i in a parking lot doing stupid things I had no business doing I got up and walked away, refused treatment from the ambulance because I hate hospitals. I was hyped up on adrenaline for quite awhile, went to get my friend's grandfather's truck to pick the bike up. Took it home and then sat down in kitchen. That was about 2 hours after the accident and the pain was just starting to set in. Then I promptly went into shock. Scariest moment in my life, I'd never been in shock before. Vision was super blurry, couldn't see anything, breathing like I'd just run 10 miles nonstop, sweating bullets. And it sounded like I was 10ft underwater listening to the paramedics that they called talk to me. Scary time, so I let them take me to the hospital.

In the end I'm glad I went. I found out I had a lot worse road rash than I'd thought and they did a much better job cleaning it than I would have.

I wasn't there... But if you look he's only resting his right hand on his leg, but RR, the guy who was there and took the pictures, said...

His arm between his wrist and elbow was at a 35 degree angle (it would be pointing toward the camera though), you could see the bone was trying to break through the skin but hadn't, his right arm was all white too from rash that hadn't started to bleed.

The first thing he did after he stood up was use that arm to pull a pack of cigarette's out of his pocket, he used it the whole time to smoke too.

He kept saying, "I can't believe I'm using a broken arm to smoke this cigarette".

Shock, adrenaline, and concussion probably....

Again, I wasn't there, I'm just relaying what I was told...

Yeah, sounds like he was deffinately in shock. Scary situation. I'm glad he survived though. That's a good argument for wearing good protective gear.
