my tachs all messed up...

the engine revs normal but the tach goes to redline at a slight turn of the throttle. i have a 1993 fzr 600. if anyone could help me out that would be great. thanks. steve

Maybe the spring that provides "counter" torque that holds the needle steady is broken. Hence your tach jumps to the maximum possible reading with even a small rpm.
