I live in Iowa and am looking into getting my first bike.
I haven't ridden before, but will be taking the MSC soon.
A local dealership is offering an '04Kawasaki Vulcan 500 for about $3,600. It has about 3-4k miles, looks to be in pretty good condition, but I can tell it has been layed down at least once. No major damage, just a few scratches here and there.
I just want to make sure I'm not getting taken to the cleaners. I don't know very much about motorcycles, so any suggestions as to what I should look at on the bike before I purchase it would be a great help.
Also, I think I can get him to drop the price a little. Any suggestions?
