Happy Bike Day--just picked up a 86 Suzuki Cavalcade 1400. A little rough, 88k, but I got a good deal. Big heavy akward bike at slow speeds great on highway, a lot like the Wing but more top heavy, front end flops at parking lot/driveway speeds. Should be a good tow bike.

Check the bearings in the steering head, might be able to fix the slow speed floppiness. Towing with a bike is a bit different than with a car, if you haven't done it before, like anything else, practice. Be very aware of the width of your trailer, especially when you're near curbs, gas station islands etc...

Oh yeah, happy bike day to you... :o)

Hey gratz on the bike!

To add to Dr. Bar's advice on correcting the low speed steering wobble also check the steering nut, sometimes it gets loose on those big bikes, don't over tighten though or the bike will want to wander at higher speeds.

I went to the Honda Shop and sat on a Sportbike.. It was pretty cool to sit on, but put armed out as if riding( could not move throttle hand correct because of the stretched out position). I had a severe stroke at age 16 that left me handicapped. I started riding scooters, in 1992.. My first scoot costed $1500( included a new full face helmet, 3 years extended warranty, taxes). It was a Yamaha Razz 49cc 2 stroke scooters. Second was a Chinese motorbike- had clutch, hi low gear, rode it 1 year and sold. Now got a 250cc scooter, owned 5 years, good shape still. But anyhow, the bike feel is still good experience. I know there is a right bike for me. Just keep searching...lol I love doing art too and trained my left hand to do it, after the stroke.
