MOTORCYCLE LESSONS in Idaho - Star Program
Jul 31, 2005 - NBC Newschannel 6 - kpvi.com
Ever since Idaho legislation enacted the Star program back in 1994, motorcycle fatality rates have declined.
The creation of the program was driven by the need to provide safety education to those under 21 years of age.
The beginner course offers the basics of riding, while the advanced course costs less, but requires you bring your own bike.
Completing the course can lower insurance payments and even knock points off your driving record.
Instructor Chantel Smith-Warmack says there are more reasons than ever to get on a bike.
Chantel Smith-Warmack: "It's the excitement, it's fun. Right now with the gas prices the way they are, we see an increase with motorcycles, because the gas is lots cheaper."
