Hi I am the new guy

#1 Unread post by Bike Phreak »

Thought I would just drop a note on myself.

I am a 24 year old male who is passionatly in love with riding my motorcycle. I own a Kaw Ninja 250R '05 black and green. I have owned it for 2 months now and have  dropped it 2 times. I am a strong advocate of safety gear and always try :? to ride responsibly. I was brought into bikes when my Uncle took me for a ride when I was about 6. After that I can remember vividly going into a motorcycle shop when I was about 8 and sitting on this really small sport bike. I cried when we left :) Now I have about 2000+ miles on my bike and I ride it every day rain or shine (Mostly shine because I am in California). If you want to know anything else just ask. Oh and my avitar (the picture to my left) is my dream bike for the moment.

Thanks for having a great place to discuss motorcycles on the internet! :D :D :D

Next bike? Hmmmm  Kaw 600 RR? Custom paint of the Grim Reaper.

Welcome to the forums!

(and the KTM RC8 is on my wish list, too - did you know they have a silver version now, too?)
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.

Welcome to TMW BP I know you will get a lot out of the various forums here.

I was curious why you limited your top end mileage to 10,000 in your poll? I put over 20,000km (12 427 miles) on my bike last year alone. I couldn't even guess what my total on a bike is...

I've been riding for about three years now. I put a little under 3,000 miles on a '78 CX500 before an exhaust valve broke and shattered the cam follower. I then put around 8,000 miles on an '84 NightHawk 700SC in close to mint condition (brand new bodywork bought from the UK). And now I'm on my third bike which I've managed to put just over 9,000 miles on in one year. So, yeah, why'd you top it out at 10,000? I've doubled that in just three years! 8)

Dude...I had no idea! Your bike is such a nice, tricked-out custom with some old-skewl attitude! I wouldn't have thought mine would be your cup of tea!

Welcome aboard! I've been riding since October of '03, and have ridden a total of approximately 12,000 miles. We like to ride around here! My poor car gets jealous with me not driving it as much. Still, in the Winter, my car is my favorite form of entertainment on the road (Subaru WRX). I still ride my bike in the Winter as well, just not as often.

Enjoy the forums.

Cheers,
Loonette
