Hello and welcome to the forum. When you say "I had the carbs done" what exactly do you mean?

First off, Are you running premium gas, preferably with a booster? I know the owners manual says regular but that was in 1978. My '75 CB750 runs like crap on regular but sings on a booster. You may also want to check your advance system, especially if yours is an early model with points. Hope this helps

Do you have the service manual for your bike? If not that's where to start, if so it's in there.
