diaph slide compatability carb honda

Do anyone know if a honda 1983 vf 750c v45 magna diaph needle-slide 30 mm assembly will fit my 1984 honda vf500c v30 magna (there is one for sale on e-bay) seller is not sure it will fit--I can call the honda dealer monday (closed today--sunday) I am afraid it will sell before I can call them--they are rare at under $50.00 and I need one badly--mine (one) hase holes in it 
they look the same except the one for sale has an orange ring and my old one has a black ring??-honda wants $125 just for the daph only--and anyway I cannot see how mine comes apart.
