Big Attitude

Okay, admit it: When you first look at the sporty and compact Grom™ you just have to smile. And no matter how long you've been riding, you just want to throw a leg over this bike and twist the throttle. It's an excellent fit for both new and experienced riders, but to Gen Y buyers in particular the Grom carries a bit of attitude while promising fun times: the compact frame size, low seat, inverted front fork and hydraulic disc brakes make this the real deal. The fuel-injected 125cc engine delivers lots of torque, the 4-speed manual transmission works just like any other full-sized bike, the maneuverability and handling make it a joy to ride, and there's even room for a passenger. Factor in its efficient size with an affordable price, and there's just no way you can pass up this chance to get out and ride. Because no matter who you are, the Grom will keep you smiling, ride after ride.

Honda’s 2014 Grom™ is a fresh, new way to add some fun, practicality, independence and style to your life. Fun: This new machine is a blast to ride, offering all the excitement of a full-sized motorcycle but in a package that just about anyone old enough to have a license can handle. Practical: The Grom's thrifty Honda engine means you can run it on pocket change, and you can park it just about anywhere too.

Grom? What the heck is a Grom? And who is Gen-Y? 1.45gal / 5.5 litre gas tank?!

Maybe I'm getting too old for all this as I just "don't get it"... guess I'm not Gen-Y then!!

LOL.

Not sure where to start but totally odd-looking mini-bike. Voted fail but as Mike mentioned I, too, may be looking at it through my aged glasses.

I think the looks are ok. Nothing great, but I do not think it is ugly either.

Due to size, I am guessing that the top speed will be about 50mph (±5mph).

The fuel economy should be at least 90mpg (~38km/l).

I am still thinking about my vote. Probably either a cool, uncool or abstain.

I would never own one, but for a city bike...I think it would be cool enough...it would out cool a scooter in my books. Looks like it could be a bunch of fun...we really should have a "Take it, or leave it" vote...but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and go: Cool.

Later.

I just can't do it, not 10yrs old anymore. Probably a good machine, and if you wanted to commute in a city i guess. Not for me Ninja 650 or a smaller cruiser for that if you felt you needed a smaller bike. Uncool.

I think it's pretty freaking cool! It'd be a great pit bike, fun for around town or the campground.

I am also going cool, that looks like an all round fun bike. I took my aged glasses off and just had fun in my head. yeah, it was good fun.

A little 125, single thumper at 102 KG,s. if it broke down, I could pick it up and carry it home.

looks good, can carry 2. Honda build. Yeah, I think cool.
