2010 Hyosung GV250 Stator Casing Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the stator casing off of my Hyosung GV250? I removed all the 8mm bolts but casing still will not come off. Thx

Hello Alan and welcome to the forum. Well, I haven't ever worked on a Hyosung before but it's all the same. Are you sure you got all the fasteners loose or out? Did you make sure the footpegs aren't in the way? Have you tried tapping on the case with a plastic, rawhide, or rubber mallet(do not use a hammer)? The old gasket may have created a seal. Yup, what JohnJ said. A lot of times they're pretty hard to remove because the old gasket has created a seal of sorts, plus the magnetic attraction keeps it on there pretty hard.

Thank you both for your replies. I will probably need to use more force then i was as i was cautious to not crack anything. I will let ya know how it goes...
