A friend of mine died a week ago. They just found him last night in his apartment. I guess he OD'd of some serious stuff. It is really too bad he was a great guy and will be missed by us all.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Congratulations on your three years of clean living. I hope it will get easier for you and the years won't seem so lo-o-o-o-n-n-n-n-g-g-g.

This is normally the point at which everyone is supposed to chip in and say, "he's in a better place now." Or, "it will get easier as time passes." But I'm sure you've heard all that so many times that you're willing to punch the next person in the face who says it.
So I will say that sometimes it helps to talk about it. If you look down below you'll note that I have both my MSN and ICQ contacts posted, feel free to drop a line if you just need someone to listen.
I hope that YOU feel better soon, but remember it's okay to greive, and alright to be sad.

Man I feel for you and his family.
I've been sober nine years and I've lost count of how many people that have died. It doesn't get any easier- just sadder.
This is the real deal and it is still doing pushups out there waiting for you...

Thanks all of you guys. My gorilla may be doing pushups, but I have a really big Gorilla gun. No worries people. Thanks for lending an ear and being on the forums.
