Swift electrical problems

Ok I got a 2008 swift lucky strike. It seems to have an electrical issue since the day I bought it. I ride it then it just shuts down. Let the bike sit and it will restart and run for who knows how long. I know the circuit breaker pops then resets but also has some other box with what appears to be a relay and flat resistors or something. Never seen a set up like this before and need help.

Hello Richard and welcome to the forum. I got to ask, have you tried removing the gas cap when it dies to see if the gas tank has a vacuum building up in it. The condition you're describing sounds like a vacuum lock which occurs when the tank vent is blocked. I could be wrong though.

Yes have run with cap loose. Like I mentioned when it dies and you sit for a few minutes you hear the circuit breaker reset. I have changed the breaker out and it still does it. I can not find a wiring diagrams for any swift motorcycle on the Internet therefore I'm not sure which wires to start chasing for a short.

OK well we'll make you a circuit diagram. You've got a battery, a charging circuit (alternator and regulator), an ignition circuit, and a lighting circuit. Do you know which breaker is tripping?

It only has one breaker. It is running off the ignition. One side comes in from battery other side goes out to a box that has what appears to be a relay and some flat resistors and like 5 led lights. Also appears to run to ignition module under nose cone. This is the weirdest setup I have ever seen

Do you have a Digital Voltage Meter? Can you remove your key switch without removing any of the wires?
