Motorcycle Jeans - Abrasion Test Video

#1 Unread post by rossie »

I've been looking for a pair of decent bike jeans (Kevlar or something) and came across THIS video.

That looks like the kind of thing I'm after. Anyone got a pair or got alternatives or even real-world experience of an 'off' while wearing them ?

Hello rossie and welcome to the forum. I use Diamond Gusset Defender jeans with some knee and shin protectors under them. I have gone "off road" with them on. They took it.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I've got a pair of Australian Draggin' Jeans (supposedly there are differences between Australian and US Draggin jeans, although I can't recall what they are). I'm pretty happy with them, and they've been crash tested (80-90kph crash on pavement). I walked away with no injuries, maybe just a bit of soreness. The jeans held up well and I still use them.

I think now you can find riding jeans that are fully kevlar-lined (mine are just lined in the knee and butt area) as well as CE certified.
