Fuse box?

#1 Unread post by Yamaha650 »

Yamaha Maxim 650. 1980.

So I took off my seat. Underneath it was a couple fuses, and a few wires. It was all torn up and broken. I'm assuming that that is the fuse box for the entire bike. Is it recommended to buy a new fuse box or can I just saughter(sp?) the wires back on and connect the fuses again? How many fuses should I have? There are 3 there now, but it seems like there may be more wires. I'm starting with a beater bike, and hopefully I can fix it up to make it work.

A shop manual is on the way, but i'm trying to get done what I can now so when I look through the manual and find a million more projects on the bike, I can have the basics down. Thanks for any help in advance!

look at item #4566992716 on ebay--complete wiring harness looks ok--might be able to get it and splice in or change entire wiring harness.
