TU250 unreliable at starting

Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question or has been answered a lot, but I didn't know what to look for.
My motorcycle has been acting a little unreliable. Like half the time when I turn it on, the light will come on and the FI light works, and the starter engages or whatever that sound is. But when I press the starter, it just clicks off dead. The other day the FI light started blinking, and it died as I pulled into the parking lot.

I took it to a shop, they called back and said the battery was dead and needed replacing. But this seems unlikely, because the day I dropped it off there, it started right up after sitting for like 2 weeks.

I did swap the handlebars a while back, so it's possible I screwed up a connection with something in that process, maybe.

Does anyone have any ideas? I would be appreciative. It's a 2010 TU250x with 900 miles.

Thanks for any help.

Keep in mind that FI systems are fairly picky when it comes to the battery. The bike is 3-4 years old and only has 900 miles, which means it hasn't been used a lot. It's very possible the battery needs to be replaced. (Keep in mind that cranking over a single cylinder 250 cc motor is pretty easy.)

I see, that makes sense.
Thanks, I'll have it replaced and see how it goes. I appreciate the reply.

Check the charging system but I would look at a bad or loose ground first.
