Today was a very stressful ride. For some reason everyone was driving crazy (crazier than usual), and I got stuck in downtown traffic. The traffic lights were all messed up at this one intersection. They were all red, so there was a big jam up as people tried to take turns or force right of way to get through. Anyway, the van in the lane to my left got popped from behind by some aszhole driver. This guy had been honking his horn nonstop for some unfathomable reason. Like honking your horn will speed things up . Then as the traffic creeped along and stopped again, his SUV suddenly lurched forward and smacked this van in front of him, pushing it maybe 6 feet forward. I think he must've accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. Anyway it was my turn to force my way through the red light so I didn't get to see if a fight broke out or anything. The people in the van looked ok. I pulled up beside the car in front of me and went with him through the light so as to avoid further aszholery by other drivers. So I was kind of shaken, because I had just previously been in that lane in front of that SUV, and wasn't watching my mirrors because traffic was going so slow. Then on the way back home I encountered 3 cop cars and a dog in the road. Even my regular back roads that are usually clear of other vehicles had medium traffic. Bad karma day for riding I guess.
I almost got hit tonight. I was coming out of the movie theater parking lot. The lot empties into a two lane street which takes you out to the main street. There were about 10-15 cars lined up in the right lane waiting to turn. I was going left, so I pulled into the left hand lane and started heading towards the front. Some guy in the right hand lane about halfway up didn't see me and pulled out. I swerved and just barely avoided his front left fender.
Guess it's just a bad day to be riding everywhere.
Almost got merged into coming home tonight..... on the expressway, i'm in the process of passing this guy and he starts coming into my lane, a swerve and a twist is all it really took, once i got passed the dude i gave them the wtf raised arm and look oh well.
But Officer , I didn't see the motorsickle...................

Unfortunately that's one of the things we have to deal with. Idiot drivers. I'd suggest keeping a small supply of rocks in your tank bag. If someone does something stupid you can help them to realize that there are immediate and powerful repurcussions of their actions.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

so you throw rocks shattering the windshield blinding the driver of the car(who already obviously has problem controlling their car). how would you feel if you saw them swarve taking out a little kid because of your little rock retaliation? not sure if risking the lifes of other people just to get revenge is worth it personally...
