removing gas tank warning labels

What's the best way to remove those warning labels on your gas tank w/o fing up your paint?

heat them up with a hair dryer and pull them off.

then a little palmolive+water and some rubbing with a soft cloth will take off any left over glue.

I used soap and warm water. It takes awhile to get it off. The left over glue is tough but with alittle rubbing with a soft cloth it will come off.

Goo Gone works pretty well (if you use it though, don't combine it with heat - it is an oil, thus combustable).
