I bought this bike, and I need some sort of guidance on what line goes where. The petcock has 3 outlets. For some reason I have more lines than I should. It looks like some sort of vent line that has two hoses joined together between the carbs up top.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's getting cooler here fast, and I would like to ride some before winter without problems.

Could be that the lines going to the carbs are vacuum lines. The petcock may be opened by vacuum when the engine is running.
Rupture or sticking of this function could limit fuel supply. Rupture of the diaphragm could possibly be a way for gas to go to the carbs by a wrong path (not sure about that though). It's actually a good feature which means that if your carbs are leaking your entire fuel tank contents won't be leaked out while you're parked.
I think my Honda 900F had an arrangement like that. There was also a Prime position which simply turned the gas on like an on-off valve so that if the bike had sat for awhile you didn't have to crank the starter in order to put gas in the carbs. Or maybe the Reserve position did the same thing?? (It's been a long time since I had that bike so not certain anymore.)

The two lines that join together between the carbs is a vacuum line that operates the petcock.

I'm not making any progress with the lines. I have one at the base of the left carb, 2 that join, one from the front of the right carb, and one from the back area of the right carb. The petcock has 3 connections. I'm also pretty sure a line should connect to the tank vent that is in conjunction with the fuel quantity gauge?
