I saw this video. Looks like the bikers were being asshats. But the SUV driver made me wonder too.

These people were being goobers. All of them. Asshats.

The bikers started it. But the guy in the car should have locked his doors and called 911.

I've been reading a few things about it.
One side says that the suv hit a rider before the video started, and they were trying to get him stopped.
The other side says that the only thing that happened was what was in the video.

Final tally: one rider with a broken leg, driver with cuts and bruises, his wife and kid OK though.

This thing spread all over the interwebs pretty quickly. Some other source notes that a biker brake checked the SUV and got hit, starting the whole thing. It's pretty hard to judge. If that relatively minor incident already started some mob behavior, can you blame the driver for trying to get out of there instead of getting out of his vehicle and settling things? Pete is right; everyone was an asshat.

Looking at other videos, definitely the bikers causing the problems. Blocking traffic, cutting people off, etc.

Despicable behaviour. They should lose their bikes and licenses.

Here some more information I just found. The guy who break checke and started the whole thing has been charged.

Also down a bit further you can see another video uploaded by the same guy who uploaded this one. Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they were a bunch of asshats.

Would appear he didn't have a motorcycle liscence and was considered an habitual traffic offender.

These are the people who give law abiding riders the bad reputation.

Regardless of the circumstance, why would anyone on a bike pick a fight with a SUV? That's like a pitbull picking a fight with a Tosa ken.
