can i put eney exhaust on my bike

i have a yamaha fzr 600 and my frend has a devil exhaust for a 03 r1. are they all that specific to make and madel or is it just the pluming thats specific? i dont need an exhaust but might as well use it if its free.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Replace that stuff only if you absolutely must. You could be ok or end up having to rejet and refilter thus costing you alot of cash besides you might end up actually losing performance or damaging your engine.

I've done it before and it was a real can of worms at the end and I was lucky though. Sold that bike at first opportunity. I have to replace my muffler now on my current bike because it is rusted out and not functioning right. Its something I have to do but I really don't want to. See the difference? I'm just hoping this repair doesn't entail rejetting etc... I have to use aftermarket because I can't get the stock parts anymore.

It may look cool right? But it might not work right and not worth it in the end even though the muffler was free.
The only time I feel any real catharsis is on a MOTORCYCLE!
