Triumph is planning to release three new throw-back bikes for 2015:

2015 Triumph Speed Triple 94 - A nod to the 1st production year of the Speedy
2015 Triumph Bonneville T214 - In recognition of the 214mph record in '55
2015 Triumph Thruxton Ace - Ace Cafe'd version of the Thruxton

No real official news - just what they've filed for emissions with the state of California. Some friends asked at the old factory in Hinckley a few weeks ago, but all they got were tight lips and knowing smiles. I really hope they get these right...

With London’s Ace Cafe playing such an iconic role in the biking scene for several decades, the Thruxton Ace cafe racer is expected to pay tribute to the venue.

The Bonneville special, Bonneville T214, celebrates the anniversary of a 1955/1956 speed record which was set by the cigar-shaped Triumph Streamliner model on Bonneville Salt Flats- clocked at 193 mph in 1955 and 214 mph the following year.

The Speed Triple celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, with early models already being regarded as modern classics. The Speed Triple 94 special is set to be a 21st anniversary tribute to the original T309 Speed Triple launched in 1994. Rumour suggests the Speed Triple 94 will feature similar cosmetic styling to the original bike – but until we see one, we can’t be sure…

The bikes will be based on its Speed Triple 1050, Bonneville and Thruxton machines.

Little is known of the three bikes, but they have been certified with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as 2015 models, which often happens months ahead of a bike’s official launch.

The first is a Speed Triple 94, which we understand is a cosmetic overhaul for the current Speed Triple model to celebrate 21 years since the much-loved naked bike was first introduced with the T309 Speed Triple version in 1994.

The second is a Bonneville T214, which celebrates the speed record of 214mph set in 1955 (and 1956) by a streamliner model.

The final bike is listed in certification paperwork as a Thruxton Ace, which is expected to be a café racer with a nod to the famous north London café that played such an integral part in the 1960s
