Riding has awakened me to an unsettling trend

I'm wondering if any one else has noticed the smell of rx much more frequently wafting out of cars.
When I'm riding, I can smell everything.
And this smell seems to be on the rise.
Are more people actually driving around while getting high?
I find this very disturbing.

I live in the pot capital, British Columbia. Here if I don't smell pot, I think I'm in another country. Yes it's alarming, when traveling at 60+ mph, and you can smell it...

I haven't noticed this myself, but then, I live in Utah where it's still 1955.

That said, people getting high while operating vehicles is nothing new, my stoner buddies in high school called it 'space cruising'. I can't think of any recent changes in pot legislation that would account for a rise in vehicular use, that is, all the people who are likely doing it now were likely doing it a year ago too.

Haven't noticed, but most of my riding is either on rural roads or interstates. I don't ride very much in suburban or urban areas. I suspect however that you're right, Flipper.

Now I wonder which makes you more "impaired", driving while stoned or while texting?

At least the stoned dudes are (debatably) still looking at the road.

Yes, it is more frequent. Not enough enforcement.
