Hi people !

Just thought it would be nice to know for people looking into communication systems, the SMH10 is great !

I bought a dual pack for my wife and I this week-end and we went riding. Audio clarity is very good, range is very decent and even received a call on my cell phone and we were able to make a 3 way conversation without much problem.

Only "down" point would be that there is a learning curve: no touch screen, no guide, and only two buttons. It's been a while since I've had to memorize fonctions !

And since the last software update, Cardo system, SEMA and uClear are compatible (or so I heard, I did not test it), so you are not stuck into a company to talk with fellow riders.

Riding with my wife just got a lot more fun: now there is words on the hand signals ! (me pointing somewhere is now understood as "Look there, this is beautiful" instead of... me pointing somewhere/anywhere  )

I also have a duel SMH10 that I have paired with my phone and my GPS. It works great. On a long ride, if the battery runs low I just swap out to the other unit. This allows one unit to be on the charger all the time while the other is on the helmet.

With respect to Mrs. Hanson, hand signals is my preferred mode of communications. *hide*

Safe Travels,
Richard

Another SMH10 fan here. When riding with other comms equipped riders, it makes a huge and positive difference. Just being able to discuss things like navigation, give warnings, discuss fuel, food, and pee breaks, etc. makes riding more convenient and safer. All 3 of my regular riding buddies have one. It actually feels slightly disconcerting now to ride with a rider/s without comms.
