New to me. 2000 model in my favorite color, plus silver gunmetal and gold.
Here's my old kz650sr for the family resemblance photo...i kindof modeled it on the zrx...sice I couldn't AFFORD the zrx when i bought the kz. No regrets.
This is how I like them. Simple and fast.

Nice ZRX! My husband rides a ZRX (and I think he has the same can...). Hope it's treating you well!
Cheers,
Loonette

Nice Bike, I have a 2002 ZRX1200R and feel the same way, it is the best bike I have ever owned. I really like the KZ also, have fun out there and stay safe.

I painted it to remove the stripes. I like them one color, and it's black. I also stripped and polished the grab handles that were all scratched up. I finally got around to a little mothers on the wheels too. There's always more to do, but for now this is how it looks. It's a GREAT bike! Outhandles the old KZ by a mile and the power isn't even in the same league! Smooth and torquey is an understatement.

and a different angle
The bike is gradually becoming my personal favorite of all time. Here's a not so great indoor shot of it in current form. When it gets nice enough for a sun shot i'll pull it out for better details...basically, gold anodized levers, footpegs and swingarm spools, rear pegs and hangers removed, muffler bracket fabbed to hang from top shock bolt, grab handles removed and replaced with brass plugs (common plumbing fittings wrapped with silicone tape for tight force fit.) In the footpeg and handles mods there is nearly a 4 pound weight reduction and Cg moved lower and forward a little. it's all functional and the cosmetics suit me perfectly in the black/gold theme i see emerging. enjoy...more in the sun later. Oh, and the mirrors have been cut, bent and welded into a lower, wider position with super visibility and reduced helmet buffeting as a side effect.
