This past Friday I was riding my Star as I started accelerating I noticed the bike start slowing engine revving high I let go of the throttle realized I lost my gears . The bike is an 07 less then 20,000 miles Upgrades new 2.5 " road burner exhaust Barnett clutch pack Baron oil relocation kit and ram air intake oh also re-jetted the carbs. Bike was running like a dream. Now she sits in the garage with no gears. I shift the shifter nothing. Any ideas ?

Clutch issues for sure is it a hydraulic clutch or cable? If it's hyd. try bleeding and refilling the clutch. If it's cable try to adjust if possible.

Clutch engages and disengaged the shifter lever is not clicking when I go through the gears. When I engage the gears the bike rolls without any resistance nothing from 1st through 5th.

The description your giving is clutch failure if there was no grinding noise or breaking and your final drive is ok I would start at the clutch you have to anyway. I did a little home work and found the stars to have some kind of $17 upgrade to the clurch just search on YT and you will see the clutch is the gateway to your trans anyway

Yamaha's fresh-from-the-ground-up V-Star 1100 is a bold new entry in the middleweight market. It stands next to the venerable Virago 1100 in relative size and equipment. Both utilize a 1063cc, air-cooled, single overhead-cam, two-valves-per-cylinder V-twin engine with dual carbs, wide-ratio five-speed transmission and shaft final drive. The similarities end there, however. The new V-Star represents an entirely different perspective. For example, many people think the faithful Virago is ugly -- virtually everyone will agree the new V-Star is not.

It is clutch problem also It may not deliver the grunt of Yamaha's 1600cc pushrod V-twin Road Star or approach the Royal Star in visual refinements, but the V-Star 1100 is an extremely well-balanced, middle-of-the-road motorcycle. In our opinion, it's the best package being offered in the 1100 class this year.
