The alternator and wiring harness on the Buell had to be replaced under the warranty. I picked up a packing staple once and had a blowout another time. They took care of both of those.

Just the wire harness or "fix" as we call it

on the 09 Buell it was a stop gap measure to fix a problem with the stators on the 09/10 Buells with the Rotax engine the shunt to much power to ground and burn out the stators especially if you ride in traffic. It basically cuts out a leg to the stator at a certain temp.

Radio was cutting out, CB wouldn't transmit, Yamaha replaced the radio and all connected items, $1500 to $2500 worth of gear and labour. I later found out through a Venture web site that this was a common occurrence remedied by a simple application of dielectric grease in all the connections...
