Everyone LOVES seeing manufacturers introducing new models, and here we go, a 300cc R3 from Yamaha for 2015!

Lets see if the comments come as fast as the bike is.

It just takes me to a lot of places in my heart and mind

Nice bike, reminds me of the RZ350 my buddy raced back in the day. If this four stroke performs close to the levels of the old RZ's and RD's, I will be impressed. Gave it a solid cool and reserve the right to bump it up to Awesome if it is a good as those old two strokes.

Looks great! Probably the best looking of the 300cc sport bikes. Wouldn't mind having one. I gave it awesome.
Had it been a ringading 2 smoke, it would have been off the chart awesome.

Definitely an impressive looking bit of machinery, and I like that it's in something of a sweet spot for experienced riders looking to move into the sport class. That is, it's not a lackluster 250 that's gonna leave you wishing you'd went bigger, but it's also not going to melt your face. As a cruiser rider who's considering a sportbike to play on, this is absolutely the sort of thing that would wind up on my short list.

Also, it is beautiful right? For a fully faired bike it looks very reserved, almost minimalist, and I like that bit of casing peeking out but not embellished. Tasteful.

And just now I'm trying to recall what the exhaust looks like, and I'm realizing I didn't even note it in the pictures. That alone tells me it's just what it should be on a bike like this - nondescript.

I also think it's the best looking 300 yet.
Very nicely proportioned and cool paint.

I'm so happy to see that motorcycle manufactures have wised up these
last few years and are offering smaller displacement bikes that look good.
Hopefully, more people will consider riding if we can lure them in with less intimidating bikes.

Good job Yamaha.
