Hi there I just repaired a bad shape windshield with some epoxy glue. Vinyl paint ant acrylic stickers.
Here is the job so far.
But my question is how so I protect it from rocks now ? I was thinking about 3 coats of clear or varatane floor varnish. Any suggestions ?

getting an even coat with the varnish would be a hassle no? I think you could also use some of the clear urethane topcoat that woodworking stores sell. that gives quite a smooth and sturdy finish, I know its better than the rattle can clearcoat that duplicolor sells .. at least it comes in larger cans.

PS... is the matte reflection an artifact of scanning/pixelation or is that the finish on the actual piece??

The texturized black is the actual finish, it's seems vinyl paint leaves that kind of finish... small price to pay for the flexibility it offers. I like it that way anyway

.
Thanks, I'll go look right now for urethane clearcoat

Dude-- wetsand and polish that sucker unless the rest of your bike has the same orange peel texture. It'll look professional. There is a clear acrylic resin at hobby lobby that you can mix up and paint on. That stuff is tough as hell. Bar countertops are coated withit usually and you know the abuse they see.
