My local Wine store carries a few types, I prefer La Fee Parisian

I might be willing to ship if I can check into the legality of it. But I think you can purchase it outside the US and ship it in. There are a few sites offering shipping to the USA. Just type up Absinthe in Google and go from there.
I dunno why you want it, I like the stuff, but as for it's mind-altering properties, you gotta drink a helluva lot of it before you get anything out of it. If you're just looking for a nice Anise flavoured Liquor, ok, but if you want mind-altering, stick to ... other substances.

iwannadie,
If you have any friends doing a trip up to the great white north, it's legal here and available in most liquor stores...

is the stuff in canada the real deal, i see alot of different types of absinthe, but the type with the real worm wood junk is harder to come by and pricey. they make alot of version that are just liquor with none of the other effects involved becasuse its just liquor. ive had some in the past that came from turkey and it was... well mind altering in small amounts thats for sure.

I doubt any time soon, if at all. The Pound is a lot stronger than the Euro, so to transfer would be a tad foolish.
