went for a 300km loop this morning. As I was exiting a speed reduction zone I noticed a car starting to pass. No problem, I kept a slow pace to allow the pass. However the driver did not pass, rather he wanted me to pull over. Being a trusting and obliging soul I did so, and no there were no red and blue flashing lights in my mirrors. Turns out that a bump had caused my right side case to jump the rail and was in danger of falling off. It was being held on by a single clamp. Not only did this guy warm me he also used his car to block traffic (narrow road) so I could safely repair the situation. Certainly restored my faith in human nature.

It's refreshing to hear of a good person instead of all the jerks we keep hearing about.

Wonder if they were a rider themselves?

I wondered the same thing. He was an older fellow. like me. When I finished re securing the bag, I went to thank him but he left immediately. Just waved and left. I like to think he was just returning favours extended to him at one time or another.

I had a cager alert me to the fact that one of my bolts had fallen off of my license plate, and the plate was in danger of falling off altogether. Not a safety issue, exactly, but it would have been a real pain in the butt to get a new plate issued. I was very grateful for his intervention.
Cheers,
