For months the media has been looking forward to the 2016 Dakar Rally with high anticipation after Yamaha Racing revealed that renowned rally-rider Hélder Rodrigues would be joining Yamaha's off-road racing campaign alongside 2015 Mergouza Rally winner Alessandro Botturi.
On the 16th of November, Yamaha announced the second step to their off-road plan at the Motorcycle show of EICMA. The combination of the new 2015 WR450F Rally model and these talented riders will upgrade the Yamalube Yamaha Racing Official Rally Team's rally-programme to the next level.
The team will enter what is often referred to as 'the toughest rally in the world', knowing they are fully equipped to complete and concur the 2016 Dakar challenge with this brand-new off-road machine.
