I think you may mean the drain from the fuel float cover.

My Bike had a bad gasket. That stopped the drip..

Tanks typically have a valve attached to the bottom - which is where the ON/OFF/Reserve lever usually lives.
If the leak is from a rubber hose attached to the valve it's not a vent.

If the rubber hose is attached directly to the tank and not the valve then it probably IS a vent.
If the tank was really, really full and is warmed up from when it was filled the gas expands and will go out the vent.
Chances are that the rubber hose hasn't been replaced since the bike was new so it is cracked and will leak instead of dribbling fuel out below the bike's frame.

hello, and thanks for the reply's.
I replaced all the hoses awhile back so no hoses are leaking and it's not where the ON/OFF/Reserve lever usually lives.
the tank is not full and it's dribbling fuel out below the bike's frame. It leaks quite a bit. I mean like 1/4 cup a day.
I believe it's the gasket from the fuel float cover. I ordered one and I'll post my answer when it comes in. thanks again,
Dave

"Fuel float cover" is part of the carburetor. So it's not a leaking fuel tank hose.
Problem could be a buggered needle valve and seat for the float as well as possible gasket leak.
You could turn the gas off at the tank when it's parked to stop losing gas for no reason.
